And no, it’s not a “WoC” thing either. Black women face a very specific marginalization for being Black women. No one else faces the intersection of Blackness and womanhood. Don’t use WoC when you mean Black Women. It’s not a catch all term. When you use that term inappropriately, you actually erase experiences. WoC is a useful term, created by Black women, but it’s not for every situation.
