Indigenous Rising

When I work with a child on an individual level I interview their teacher, their parents, and try to help the child understand their school work. One of my student’s teacher told me that he was “unteachable” and "a waste” because he is too distracted to complete his work. Then he writes an essay about wishing that all people were nice, that the whole world was nice, and that all kids could go to school. And you cannot imagine how he is a waste in anyway. All you see is this enlightened child who will do brilliant things.
