I do not know how many murderous atrocities against innocent Muslim children it will take for the world to understand that the taliban does not stand for Muslims, that their agenda does not protect Muslims. They are killing us. They are killing us. They are killing us and the world is trying to categorize the murdered and the mourning with the same people that are trying their hardest to wipe us out.

Wrong. White people do not experience racism. White people can experience prejudice or discrimination, but as they are members of the oppressive group in power they do not experience racism. Whatever acts of prejudice black people have shown towards white people is justified, and an act of survival.

Prejudice is unacceptable no matter who is doing it. I hate these fucking posts.

Generalizing, understanding, an anticipating the actions of ones oppressor is not the same thing as having a prejudice based on something other than fear for ones life. Prejudices against white people is not dangerous. Prejudices against black people is dangerous.

The bodies of two Tampa teenagers were discovered Thursday morning on a roadside in Duval County.
Angelia Mangum, 19, and Tjhisha Ball, 18, were found about 1 a.m., according to law enforcement. A witness told Jacksonville news station WJAX the teenagers were bound with zip ties and lying on top of one another.
“Two witnesses were driving by and they saw bodies and they called 911," Sgt. T.K. Waters told news station WJXT.
Officers were dispatched to Sisson Drive, near the intersection of Main Street North and Clark Road.
Investigators suspect foul play and are trying to determine the causes of death.
"They were in an area where they would have been noticed, so I think it was fairly recently since they’d been left there,” Waters also told WJXT.
A medical examiner has taken the bodies to determine the cause of death.
"I just don’t understand what happened,” Ball’s sister, Crystal Moore, said.
According to Moore, both women had been living in the Jacksonville area off and on for approximately a year and a half.
“I feel like sometimes that I failed,” Ball’s mother, Jerlean Moore, said. “What could I have done? What could I have taught her better? It hurts…it really hurts.”
It’s a pain that’s only worsened by the fact that no one has been caught.

:(

jesus..

let’s care just as much about black girls being murdered as we do about black boys. signal boost.

i want everybody to pay attention to the fact that news article includes their criminal history. “Mangum had two outstanding warrants on charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, according to law enforcement. Ball was arrested in April for having no valid driver’s license.”

i want everybody to really take note of that. real close attention.

And a lot of people are pretty much dismissing their murders because of their alleged profession. This is why people need to stop dehumanizing women based on sexualization. People are getting away with murdering Black women. They are victims. And I want answers, their killers don’t deserve to get off, idc what kind of lifestyle they led. They deserve justice.

Why is there still so little information on this case!? These were teenagers who were brutally murdered and their corpses were just dumped like trash.

This is fucking ridiculous.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT KIND OF ATTENTION THIS WOULD GET IF THEY WERE WHITE GIRLS?! NATIONAL IN DEPTH FUCKING ATTENTION. WITHOUT A DOUBT.

I will not be saying anything negative about this blogger; all I will say is that if you think a person thinking something was racist and then admitting they were wrong on that subject ( who also devotes their blogging time to advocate against racism, anti-blackness, and educates many on these subjects) is more problematic than people who are dangerously bigoted, openly racist, and violent, then you need to sort out your priorities and remember who the real enemies are.

I’d like to tell you the reasons why our husbands were killed. They fought for the conservation of their lands. They fought for their land rights … And they also fought against illegal logging on our lands,” says Ergilia Rengifo of her late husband Jorge Ríos, who was murdered in September. “It saddens me greatly because they leave a great hole, and they leave us as widows and their children without fathers.”

She and Julia Pérez appeared on Democracy Now! today in an interview live from the U.N. climate summit in Lima, Peru. Global Witness says that Peru is one of the most dangerous countries for environmental and indigenous activists.

A post has been circulating on tumblr accusing Nicki Minaj of appropriating (Plains) Native American and First Nations tradition by wearing a feather crown in her new tour promo. The OP has apologized but since some people won’t do their research or let this go I made this post.

This is a very small collection of a variety of feather headdresses that are worn during carnival season in Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, Haiti, Canada, and the US. The style of each carnival crown varies depending on the carnival season, the different themes for each island, the individual designer who creates the crown, and the colors representing the flag of each island. Nicki has done some racist and insensitive things in her career, but celebrating her culture is not appropriation, especially when this promo is put into the context that carnival is only a few months away in the Caribbean. Carnival crowns and headdresses look somewhat similar to war bonnets only because they are designed to celebrate the Native and African roots of West Indian nations. Carnival crowns =/= war bonnets, seriously people just do your research before you speak on things that you have no understanding of.
