Also calling white people "Caucasian" is wrong cause there are non white people with that name. I don't remember the name of the country they're from but they're not white so white people shouldn't even call themselves that

Yup. Caucasian is an anthropological term which means all peoples from North Africa, Western Asia, Europe, and India that meet a specific physical type, but does not regard skin color. Caucasian does not mean white people.
when i first checked my tumblr it didn’t have an icon indicating I had any messages; then I checked my mail anyways and have nearly a hundred. Please, don’t think I am ignoring you.
Part 1: I was wondering if you could please help me answer a question. I'll preface by saying, I understand you are not of Mohawk ancestry, but you have lots of fabulous native followers who may be able to help me. I live in a predominantly white & abundantly privileged area, where most of the kids play lacrosse. First of all, is playing lacrosse cultural appropriation? It is one of our national sports, but does that matter? Question 2, (in next ask)

Part 2 about lacrosse is: during playoffs a lot of the boys tend to shave their hair into Mohawks. I have the opinion that it is appropriation & offensive. I compared it wearing blackface, to my friends. they even play against teams from the local reservation, so it seemed more rude. The parent’s argument is, “the kids from the reservation do it, and they aren’t Mohawk” or “it’s a tribute to the founders of the game”. Can I please get some native opinion on the matter! Thanks!
It is not really my place to answer this; but without further information I would say that playing a sport wouldn’t be cultural appropriation, but that wearing one’s hair in a way in attempt to dress up/become another culture and/or race would be. Can y’all help us out on this one?
what are clothes from 'white culture' tho lmao?? jeans? tshirt? sandals?

they don’t make their own clothes to begin with so like..
Also if im not mistaken, if you believe a caucasian shouldnt be allowed to wear a Native American headdress then you should be restricted from wearing any kind of clothing from our white culture, if you arent a hypocrite then you will go out and hunt a deer and use every part of it, and you will wear handmade deer skin clothing, like I said if you arent a hypocrite that is.

White people have forced assimilation on many cultures; including my own. It is not safe for Native women to wear their traditional clothing because they are targeted by white men who fetishize them as primitive sex objects. Our cultures were forced into change by white people; therefore, white people cannot complain if anyone has adopted a culture that was forced onto them.
There is a difference between forced assimilation and cultural appropriation.
Your attempts at fighting racism end up in sounding like a racist, unless that's what you are? You shouldn't be getting all upset over something that happened over one hundred years ago, My Irish people were oppressed just the same and you don't here us bitching about it. You honestly don't even have a place to bitch about it because I doubt you've been oppressed personally by the "white man" (which is just as racist as us calling you an 'Indian') you seriously need to get over yourself.

white man is not an offensive term. The acts of oppression that you think ended over a hundred years ago have not.

I had a boyfriend not so long ago who, whenever we got into an argument, would accuse me of “going soap opera.” “Here comes Telemundo!” he would shout. His (clearly gendered and vaguely racist) insult was supposed to make me feel like my anger wasn’t valid—that it was frivolous and silly, that I was being overly dramatic. This was his not-so-subtle way of trying to shut me up—by accusing me of being emotional. (Unlike men, whose anger is always logical, of course.) Unfortunately, calling me out like this often worked. It felt immobilizing to be called dramatic. Even if you know you’re being reasonable, we’ve internalized sexism so much, sometimes we even begin to doubt ourselves.
